We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Lab Manager/Inventory Specialist to oversee and manage the daily operations of our R&D and manufacturing labs. This hands-on role is critical to ensuring the smooth functioning of laboratory equipment, maintaining inventory accuracy, and supporting both research and manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate is a quick learner, eager to adapt to new equipment and processes, and motivated to grow within our company.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain laboratory equipment, including scheduling regular calibrations (e.g., pipette calibration) and ensuring all instruments are in optimal working condition.
- Oversee inventory management for both R&D and manufacturing labs, including tracking and organizing chemicals, parts, and consumables to prevent shortages or overstocking.
- Develop and implement processes for inventory control, ordering, and restocking to efficiently meet operational needs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely availability of required materials and equipment for experiments, production, and projects.
- Ensure lab compliance with safety and cleanliness standards, maintaining a well-organized and functional workspace.
- Perform hands-on tasks such as assembling and maintaining lab equipment and troubleshooting minor technical issues.
- Assist in training team members on the proper use and care of lab equipment and inventory systems.
- Keep accurate records of inventory, equipment maintenance schedules, and calibration activities, and prepare periodic reports for management.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, engineering, or a related discipline.
- 7+ years experience in lab management, inventory control, or comparable role in an R&D manufacturing environment.
- Experience with inventory management software or tools.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Quick learner with the ability to understand and operate new equipment and processes effectively.
- Hands-on experience with lab equipment and basic troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
